Greetings All!
Please join us for a Zoom meeting regarding our new initiative to promote the World Wise Schools Speaker Program to individuals in the LA area as well as to the RPCVLA community. We understand there may be a backlog of willing RPCVs waiting to be matched with schools and our goal is to raise awareness of the program to increase participation on the part of local schools. As demand for RPCVs increases, we may increase our efforts to focus on recruiting RPCVs.
As of now, we are looking for individuals who are able to help reach out to schools and teachers in the Los Angeles region to encourage participation in this wonderful program.
We intend to create digital flyers and/or social media materials to be distributed through email or social media platforms. If we garner enough interest, we may consider hosting a virtual information session for interested teachers.
If you would like to be part of the initiative or if you know any contacts in the area who may be interested in this outreach, please join the Zoom meeting on January 21st at 6:30pm. If you are unable to attend but would still like to participate, then please let Timothy Schilling know. Additionally, if you have not already signed up to be a speaker and you would like to be on the listing, then please sign up here. Even though we may not be getting many requests now, we intend to increase the demand and match all willing RPCVs with interested teachers, so please register and be patient as work to find you a match!
And, as always, if you have any thoughts or requests for events for the RPCVLA community, then feel free to submit your suggestions to the board.
