The Jean Yamanaka Memorial Fund makes small cash grants to community projects in countries where Peace Corps Volunteers are assigned. PCVs in the field are the catalysts: they may forward a request on behalf of a community group or apply directly for a project that they are involved with. The RPCVLA Board evaluates grant requests and makes decisions based on established guidelines.
We fund up to $500 and are designed to support grassroots-level projects that assist communities and foster relationships between the Peace Corps community and host country nationals.
If you’re a currently serving PCV and would like to apply for a grant, please visit Guidelines for Applying.
