Community Sites

A Place Called Home provides 4800 members, ages 9-20, with a secure, positive environment where they can regain hope and belief, earn trust, self respect and learn skills to lead a productive life style free of the gangs and poverty that surrounds them.

LA Bike Coalition coordinates event to improve the bicycling environment and quality of life in Los Angeles County.

Big Sisters of Los Angeles is always looking for volunteers to work as mentors. If you can spend at least three hours weekly with your Little Sister for one year or more, are over 21 years of age, have and drive an insured car, you are a potential Big Sister.

WID : bringing women's empowerment to Nepal through a variety of projects and activities.

Healing the Children California : coordinates donated medical care to children "around the corner and around the world" and brings foreign children to California for donated medical care. Always looking for host families.

Uganda Conflict Action Network (Uganda-CAN) : a grassroots campaign of citizens working together, in solidarity with the hopes and visions of millions of Ugandans, to advocate, lobby and act for an end to the unnecessary human suffering of the 19-year old war in northern Uganda.

Heifer International : a non-profit that strives to build communities, distribute resources fairly, improve access to education and preserve our environment. Donations buy animals as resources for needy families and their communities.

One Voice : a non-profit organization helping families living at poverty level within our community. Programs run a wide range from providing emergency relief services to families in immediate crisis to a scholarship program designed to better the quality of people’s lives.

The Samburu Project : a non-profit 501c3 organization founded by Kristen Kosinski that collaborates with communities in developing countries to enhance men, women and children’s daily lives by providing resources that address immediate needs while promoting long term sustainability and self-sufficiency along with cultural integrity.
