Funded Grants

The Jean Yamanaka Peace Corps Memorial Fund has disbursed several thousand dollars to hundreds of small projects around the world since it was founded in 1976.

  communication skills education for parents of deaf children in Kenya - $342.31
• School Computer in Dornod, Mongolia - $500.00
• Safe climbing equipment for eco-tourism project in Oredea, Romania - $100.00
• Cave restoration project in Popovati, Romania - $100.00
• Books and library supplies for primary and secondary schools in Kenya
• Clothing for an orphanage in Chile
• Educational material for rural health teachers in Ecuador
• Electrical wiring for a rural clinic in Paraguay
