Please RSVP Here by Saturday Dec. 1st

When: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

Where230 W Ave 26,  LA 90031

Our 2017 Local Hero Award Recipient at this year’s Annual International Dinner was Roger Egger- Founder of LA and DC Kitchen. Antendees asked when we will be volunteering at LA Kitchen so we are jumping in to kick off the Holiday season!

We will be helping with food prep. Volunteers work alongside L.A. Kitchen chefs, kitchen staff, and alumni or students from their Empower Program to transform donated produce from local farmers and wholesale companies into wholesome healthy meals. The meals are distributed to our charitable partners that serve Los Angeles’ aging, low income, and homeless populations.

Activities might include cleaning, cutting, peeling, zesting and packaging meals. Volunteers learn and practice valuable knife skills and kitchen safety protocols under the direction of trained L.A. Kitchen culinary team members. No prior kitchen prep experience is necessary.

Please wear a shirt with sleeves, pants, and close toe shoes. Volunteers can bring their own hat or apron, otherwise we will provide one for you. More dress code info here.

Please RSVP by December 6th so we know how many people to expect. We will send meet-up details closer to the event.

This is a fun and meaningful way to kick off the Season of Giving – we hope to see you there!
