Critical Board Positions Newly Available

If you can possibly believe it, some of our Board Members are taking advantage of terrific educational opportunities and leaving the Board before the end of summer!

Heather White, savvy webmaster, Ravi Shah, who has stepped in as interim webmaster, and Vice President Liz Egelski are all heading for graduate school.

Congratulations to them all! While we thank them for their service and friendship and wish them well, we know we have some big shoes to fill.

Vice President

The Vice President’s unique duties include responding to emails received through RCVLA, working with the Activities, TGIF/TGIS, and Community Service Coordinators to create monthly email notices of activities to send to all RPCVLA members, and to serve as the Volunteer Coordinator and Site Manager for our annual International Dinner. Webmaster

The webmaster will maintain our website, adding items prepared by others and deleting those that are out of date. This person will also help us to stay current with the best technologies for communicating with our members. To learn more about this position, please contact Heather White webmaster@rpcvla.org.

Community Service Coordinator

The Community Service Coordinator plays an important role in helping us to fulfill the Third Goal by maintaining a speakers’ roster and serving as liaison with schools and community organizations interested in presentations by RPCVs. This person will also research and maintain contacts with community groups with worthy projects and, with the Board, select 2-3 per year in which our members can make a meaningful contribution.
